Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To smoothly feed a medium by guiding the same so as not to generate feed jamming, by providing a movable guides at a first position not interfering with a printing part, and a second position filling a gap. CONSTITUTION:When a medium 11 is fed in an inserting direction, the control circuit of a movable guide 27 allows the movable guide 27 to move from the first position shown by a broken line to the second position shown by a solid line on the basis of the detection signal from a detector 32 detecting the front end part 11a of the medium 11 in the inserting direction. At the time of printing, the front end part 11a of the medium 11 in the inserting direction is detected by the detector 32 to send an order to the shaking drive source 30 of the parallel link mechanism of the movable guide 27 to allow the movable guide 27 to move from the second position to the first position. When the medium 11 is fed in a delivery direction, the front end part 11b of the medium 11 in the delivery direction is detected by the detector 33 to send an order to the shaking drive source 30 of the parallel link mechanism of the movable guide 27 to allow said movable guide 27 to move from the first position to the second position.
