Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To electrically control the moving speeds and the moving amounts of a printing head and a guide shutter by providing a pulse motor for simultaneously driving the first and second cam mechanisms which control the movements of the guide shutter and the printing head. CONSTITUTION: An inserted medium 19 is set in the printing position by pressure rollers 12a, 12b and feed rollers 11a, 11b, and the pulse motor 1 is driven to rotate the first cam 2, whereby the first lever 3 is rotated toward the direction of the arrow and the guide shutter 4 is moved toward the direction of the arrow. The drive of the motor 1 is transmitted to the second cam 7 by a belt 6 to rotate the second lever 8 in the direction of the arrow, whereby the printing head 9 is moved downward to the position between the shutter 4 and a fixed guide plate 5. The printing head 9 is moved upward after the printing is conducted on the medium 19 by a media follower 17 through a thin flexible wire 18. Then, the rollers 11a, 11b are driven to move by a span corresponding to one line, and the printing head 9 is moved downward for printing. After the printing, the motor 1 is driven to rotate the cams 2, 7 backward, thereby returning the shutter 4 and the head 9 to the original positions thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
