Silver halide photographic sensitive material and image forming method using the same
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material having extra high sensitivity and contrast by incorporating a hydrazine deriv. and a specified compd. into a gold and sulfur sensitized silver halide emulsion layer or other hydrophilic colloidal layer. CONSTITUTION:When at least one gold and sulfur sensitized silver halide emulsion layer is formed on a support to obtain a negative type silver halide photographic sensitive material, a hydrazine deriv. and a compd. represented by formula I are incorporated into the emulsion layer or other hydrophilic colloidal layer. The sensitive material is imagewise exposed and developed with a developing soln. of 10.5-12.3pH contg. >=0.15mol/l sulfite ions. In the formula I, Z is N or C-X (X is alkyl or aryl), Y is alkyl or aryl and M is H, a metal atom or ammonium. An extra high contrast image can be rapidly formed with a processing soln. having high stability.
