Image forming method
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To form an image having less tendency to generate fog as well as a good dotted image quality by developing photosensitive materials contg. a hydrazine compd. with a developer contg. specific concns. of a sulfurous acid ion and a potassium ion. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive materials are formed by compounding the hydrazine compd. shown by the formula I (wherein R<1> is an organic residue; R<2> is a hydrogen atom and an organic residue; X is O or S atom) with a silver halogenide such as silver iodide and silver bromide etc. The developer is prepared by compounding a sulfite and a potassium salt with a developing agent of hydroquinone etc. in concns. of >=0.20g ion/l sulfurous acid ion and >=0.35g ion/l potassium ion so as to be >=80g ion % potassium ion on the weight basis of the total cation contd. in the developer. Since the photosensitive materials are developed with the developer having an improved preservative property, the image having good dotted image quality and less tendency to generate fog and lack is formed.
