Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:A resin composition having excellent falling ball impact strength, notched Izod impact strength, heat distortion temperature, heat resistance, and gloss, consisting of a specified graft polymer and polyarylene polyether polysulfone. CONSTITUTION:5-80wt% diene rubber (a) having a gel content of 70% or higher is graft polymerized with 95-20wt% mixture of two or more monomers (b) selected from 40-90wt% aromatic vinyl compound [e.g. (alpha-methyl)styrene] and 60-10wt% unsaturated nitrile compound (e.g. acrylonitrile) and/or unsaturated alkyl carboxylate [e.g. methyl (meth)acrylate] to give a graft polymer (A) having a graft ratio of 30-100% and a weight-average particle diameter of 0.05-3mum. Then 10-90wt% component A and a polyarylene polyether polysulfone (B) which has arylene units existing among ether and sulfone linkages (e.g. a polymer of the formula) are mixed.
