Composition for curing easily curable fluorine-containing polymer

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition composed of a specific iodine-containing fluorine polymer and a polyhydroxy compound (alkali metal salt), suitable as a molding material, sealant and adhesive, and giving a vulcanized product having excellent strength. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains (A) a fluorine-containing polymer containing 0.001-10wt% of bonded iodine and obtained by polymerizing (i) a 2-8C fluorine-containing ethylenic unsaturated compound (and 2-4C ethylenic compound) in the presence of (ii) an iodide compound of formula I [ Rf is (chloor)-fluorohydrocarbon group; x is >=1] and (B) 0.05-10pts.wt., based on 100pts. wt. of the component A, of a crosslinking agent comprising (iii) an organic peroxide, a polyamine (salt) or polyhydroxy compound having enol-type hydroxyl group or (iv) a dihydroxy compound (alkali metal salt) of formula II[R'f is (perchloro) fluoroalkylene] and/or (v) a polythiol (alkali metal salt).
