Abstract

Abstract An improvement in a process for the preparation of thermoplastically workable fluoro-polyolefins and their copolymers wherein a fluorine containing olefin is polymerized or copolymerized in the aqueous phase in the presence of a water-soluble, radical-forming catalyst and a polymerization regulator, the improvement residing in employing as the polymerization regulator a halogenated hydrocarbon having from one to three carbon atoms and at least three halogen atoms of which at least one is a fluorine atom and at least one is a bromine or iodine atom.
