Device and method for manufacturing part

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To automatically densify a part formed by laminating and bonding a plurality of layers by supplying a powder to a target area to selectively sinter a part of the powder by laser to form a sintered layer. CONSTITUTION: A first part of a powder is accumulated on a target surface and the target of directional energy beam 64 (pref. laser) is turned toward the target surface and the first layer of the first powder part on the target surface is sintered. The first layer corresponds to the first cross-sectional area of a part and the powder is sintered by a directional energy source when the target of beam is within the boundary demarcating the first layer. The second part of the powder is accumulated on the first sintered layer and the target of the laser beam 64 scans the first sintered layer and the second layer of the second powder part is sintered by operating a directional energy source when the target of the beam is within the boundary demarcating the second layer. The sintering of the second layer bonds the first and second layers in a nodule state. The continuous part of the powder is accumulated on the previously sintered layer to successively sinter respective layers.
