Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate a noise with an inconstant period, by making the ON- OFF period of a switching element into a constant period enabling external synchronization and by controlling the OFF period of time so that the electric current of a series-connected inductor is reduced to zero. CONSTITUTION:An input power source 1 is rectified by a rectifier bridge 3 through a high-frequency current filter 2. The output 3a of said rectifier bridge is connected with the primary winding 4a of an inductor 4 and connected and disconnected via the transistor(Tr) 5 of a switching element. Also, the output terminal of secondary winding 4b of said inductor 4 is connected with a load 8 via diode 6 and smoothing capacitor 7. Further, an output voltage Eo is fed back to a pulse width control circuit 10 operating with a constant period of oscillator 11 via an error amplifier 9 to control the ON time of said Tr 5 to make said output voltage Eo constant. Energy charged in the inductor 4, when the Tr 5 is ON, is charged into the smoothing capacitor 7 and outputted, when the Tr 5 is OFF.
