En réponse à une demande d'appel téléphonique d'un poste téléphonique appelant vers un numéro d'appel attribué à un combiné portatif appelable, ladite demande d'appel étant reçue en l'une des premières interfaces : on cherche à établir en plus de la première connexion téléphonique du poste appelant vers ladite première interface, une deuxième connexion téléphonique du combiné autonome vers l'une des secondes interfaces en fonction de conditions prédéterminées, et on réalise l'interconnexion des première et seconde interfaces concernées.
