Abstract

Abstract An active matrix board comprising pixel electrodes (11) arranged in a matrix fashion on an insulatsing substrate, and scan lines (15, 18) each having an addition capacity electrode (19) placed in a superposed relation with a portion (14) of a corresponding one of the pixel electrodes (11), said scan lines each comprising a first scan line (15) formed in an area other than the area in which said addition capacity electrode (19) is held in a superposed relation with said pixel electrode (11), and a second scan line (18) formed to cover said first scan line (15) and having said addition capacity electrode (19) as its part, whereby the possibility of pixel defect occurrence is reduced and the production yield of display apparatuses is improved.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 95 words
An active matrix board comprising pixel electrodes arranged in a matrix fashion on an insulating substrate, and scan lines each having an additional capacity electrode placed in a superposed relation with a portion of a corresponding one of the pixel electrodes, said scan lines each comprising a first scan line formed in an area other than the area in which said addition capacity electrode is held in a superposed relation with said pixel electrode, and a second scan line formed to cover said first scan line and having said addition capacity electrode as its part.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 95 words
An active matrix board comprising pixel electrodes arranged in a matrix fashion on an insulating substrate, and scan lines each having an additional capacity electrode placed in a superposed relation with a portion of a corresponding one of the pixel electrodes, said scan lines each comprising a first scan line formed in an area other than the area in which said addition capacity electrode is held in a superposed relation with said pixel electrode, and a second scan line formed to cover said first scan line and having said addition capacity electrode as its part.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 19 words
An active matrix board according to claim 1, wherein said first scan line is made of a low-resistance metal.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 23 words
An active matrix board according to claim 1, wherein said second scan line is made of a metal material having resistance to etchant.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 25 words
An active matrix board according to claim 2, wherein said low-resistance metal is a metal selected from the group consisting of Al, Mo, and W.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 28 words
An active matrix board according to claim 2, wherein said metal material having resistance to etchant is a metal selected from the group consisting of Ta and W-Ti.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 59 words
A matrix display comprising a plurality of lines for supplying signals to pixels, each line having a first part covered by a second part, and each pixel having an electrode which partially overlaps a said line to form a capacitance therebetween, characterised in that the portion of the line overlapped by the electrode does not include said first part.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 59 words
A matrix display comprising a plurality of lines for supplying signals to pixels, each line having a first part covered by a second part, and each pixel having an electrode which partially overlaps a said line to form a capacitance therebetween, characterised in that the portion of the line overlapped by the electrode does not include said first part.
