Vehicle with a device for diverting regenerative breaking to drive auxiliaries
Abstract
Abstract A vehicle is indicated, in particular a lorry or bus, to whose internal combustion engine a device is assigned for diverting regenerative braking to drive auxiliaries. From the internal combustion engine power can be delivered to an axle drive train and via auxiliary drives to units which can be switched on as required in order to charge the accumulators of drive auxiliaries. In addition an electronic control device (8) is provided which a) on the basis of operating state signals (nM, nR' alpha EP) fed in detects any change of the internal combustion engine (1) from tractive to coasting operation by means of internal circuit elements (9, 10, 11) and b) when coasting operation is detected - possibly after a defined delay time - purposely switches one or more of the drive units (AA,AB, AC, AD, AE,F,G) of the vehicle's internal systems (A,B,C,D,E,F,G) to the drive train (3, 1, 4) in a specific order which is determined in a priority selector circuit (19) on the basis of supply requirements, and as a function of a charging requirement of the accumulators (SA,SB,SC,SD,SE,SF,SG) indicated by comparing predetermined reference values with detected actual values, and c) when a change is detected from coasting to tractive operation with further accumulator charging still necessary, keeps the said drive unit(s) drive-connected to the drive in order of priority and in the event of a charging requirement of further accumulators likewise switches the associated drive unit(s) to the internal combustion engine (1) in order of priority, and d) if adequate filling of an accumulator is detected prevents it being charged further. <IMAGE>
