Une grille G1 reçoit un signal radiofréquence RF et une grille G2 un signal d'oscillateur local LO. Des réseaux d'adaptation R1 et R2 sont prévus pour respectivement le signal RF et le signal LO. Un élément de réseau R3 placé à la sortie (drain D2 du transistor T2) ramène un court-circuit à la fréquence fLO d'oscillateur local. L'instabilité de l'entrée G2 du transistor T2 est compensée par un élément selfique L disposé entre le point commun à la source S2 et au drain D1 et le pôle de mode commun.
