Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 52 words
In a composition of matter for application to a body surface or membrane to deliver a biologically active agent by permeation through said body surface of membrane comprising a biologically active agent and a permeation enhancer therefor, the improvement wherein said permeation enhancer further comprises a permeation enhancing amount of glycerol monolaurate.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 52 words
In a composition of matter for application to a body surface or membrane to deliver a biologically active agent by permeation through said body surface of membrane comprising a biologically active agent and a permeation enhancer therefor, the improvement wherein said permeation enhancer further comprises a permeation enhancing amount of glycerol monolaurate.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 18 words
The composition of claim 1 wherein said agent and said permeation enhancer are dispersed within a carrier therefor.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
The composition of claim 2 wherein said agent is present in an amount in excess of its saturation concentration in the carrier.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 14 words
The composition of claim 1 wherein said body surface or membrane is intact skin.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 34 words
The composition of claim 2, further comprising an occlusive backing behind the skin distal surface of said carrier; and means for maintaining said carrier in agent and permeation enhancer transferring relationship to intact skin.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 19 words
The composition of claim 5 wherein said agent and said permeation enhancer are contained within a single reservoir means.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 23 words
The composition of claim 6 wherein said agent is present in an amount in excess of its saturation concentration in said reservoir means.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 18 words
The composition of claim 5 wherein said agent and said permeation enhancer are contained within separate reservoir means.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 19 words
The composition of claim 8 wherein said agent is present in said reservoir means at a concentration above saturation.
