Abstract

Process for catalytic reforming using catalysts containing a support, platinum and rhenium and optionally at least one metal chosen from the group formed by tin, germanium, lead, indium, thallium and titanium , carried out in several successive catalytic beds in which the catalyst used in the first catalytic bed has a Re / Pt ratio greater than the Re / Pt ratio of the catalyst used in the last catalytic bed, said catalyst of said last catalytic bed containing at least 0.08 % rhenium relative to the support. The catalysts preferably contain at least one halogen in weight proportion relative to the support of 0.1 to 15% and the support is preferably based on alumina. In a preferred form, 3 successive beds of catalysts are used, the Re / Pt ratios generally decreasing from the first bed to the last bed.
