Abstract

Abstract Electrostatic powder-coating installation comprising a separator of the "CYCLONE" type in the air-extraction circuit, making it possible to keep the powder-coating area at sub-atmospheric pressure. According to the invention, the separator (12) is mounted in an unconventional manner, for example vertically with its tapering part (12b) at the top, which makes it possible to simplify the network of covers (14a) between the various elements of the installation and to profit from the fact that the powder recovered from the separator (12) is ejected at height, which makes it possible to transport it without the provision of additional energy. Application to painting installations employing the powder-coating of heat-fusible paint. <IMAGE>
