Abstract
Abstract A silver halide color photographic material is disclosed vhich has at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a sup- ort, said silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one magenta coupler of the following formula (I) or (II): wherein R 1 and R 4 are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group; R 2 and R 6 are each a monovalent group; R 3 is an alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; R 5 is an alkyl group or an aryl group; R 7 is an alkylene group, an arylene group or a bivalent organic group having at least one alkylene bonded to at least one arylene; Ra is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; X is a single bond or an alkylene group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; Z is a hydrogen atom or a group that can be eliminated upon coupling reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent; and m is an integer of 0 to 4.

A silver halide color photographic material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, characterised in that said silver halide emulsion layer contains at least one magenta coupler of the following formula (I) or (II): wherein R 1 and R 4 are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group; R 2 and R 6 are each a monovalent group; R 3 is an alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; R5 is an alkyl group or an aryl group; R 7 is an alkylene group, an arylene group or a bivalent organic group having at least one alkylene bonded to at least one arylene; R 8 is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; X is a single bond or an alkylene group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; Z is a hydrogen atom or a group that can be eliminated upon coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent; and m is O or an integer from 1 to 4.
