Silver halide photographic material
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain photosensitive materials capable of saving consumption of silver halide, which are excellent in dye forming reaction, provide preservation stability of image, and remain stable even at high temperature and high humidity, by containing specified 2-equivalent cyan coupler. CONSTITUTION: A photographic emulsion is prepared by using a colorless photographic cyan color forming coupler having the alkoxy radical substituted by the sulfonic radical in formula I as the elimination radical, e.g. the one shown in formula II [1- hydroxy-4-(β-methyl sulfonyl ethoxy)-N-n-hexadecyl-2-naphthamide], etc., by 1 to 1500g per 1mol of silver halide. As a result, only 2 mols of silver halide are needed for forming 1mol of dye excelling in coloring performance, so that the consumption of the silver halide may be saved. And it is possible to obtain photosensitive material to form color images at high sensitivity, high gamma value, and high concentration. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
