Abstract
Abstract Novel synthetic phosphatidyl ammonium hydroxide compounds are prepared which have a hydrophobic/hydrophilic balance different from the natural phosphatidylcholine, which alterations are carried out by changes in the quaternary ammonium polar group to provide different surfactant properties.
