Abstract

Abstract A stent shaped as a three-dimensional body which is formed by interlaced threads ( 1 ) arranged in multistart turns of a helical line. The threads ( 1 ) are arranged in at least two groups ( 2 and 3 ) of the helical turns featuring opposite senses of helix. The stent ends are established by sections ( 5 ) where the turns of one helical line merge into those of the other helical line, said sections appearing as a single length of the thread ( 1 ).

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim 96 words
A stent shaped as a three-dimensional body whose surface is formed by at least two groups of turns made of interlaced elastic threads and arranged along helical lines having opposite senses of helix, and the end faces of said three-dimensional body are formed by sections where the turns of one helical line pass into the turns of the other helical line, wherein each of said sections of passing the turns of the helical lines is formed by a bend of a segment of a single elastic thread from which the turns of helical lines are made.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 96 words
A stent shaped as a three-dimensional body whose surface is formed by at least two groups of turns made of interlaced elastic threads and arranged along helical lines having opposite senses of helix, and the end faces of said three-dimensional body are formed by sections where the turns of one helical line pass into the turns of the other helical line, wherein each of said sections of passing the turns of the helical lines is formed by a bend of a segment of a single elastic thread from which the turns of helical lines are made.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 25 words
A stent as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the turns of all helical lines are made of a single segment of the thread.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 23 words
A stent as set forth in claim 1 or 2 , wherein the turns of helical lines are arranged with a variable pitch.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 18 words
A stent as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the three-dimensional body has a variable transverse diameter.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 23 words
A stent as set forth in claim 1 , wherein a present section of the three-dimensional body is provided with additionally interwoven threads.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 27 words
A stent according to claim 1 , wherein free ends of the threads are joined to the threads that form the helical turns, and/or to one another.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 31 words
A stent according to claim 1 , wherein the sections where the turns of one helical line pass into those of the other helical line have the opposite sense of helix.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 26 words
A stent according to claim 1 , wherein the bending points on the sections where the turns merge are the longitudinal axis of the three-dimensional body.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 20 words
A stent according to claim 1 , wherein the threads are made of a material featuring the shape memory effect.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 16 words
A stent according to claim 1 , wherein the threads are made of a superelastic material.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 18 words
A stent according to claim 1 , wherein the three-dimensional body has a coating of a biocompatible material.
