Abstract
Abstract An intervertebral disc prosthesis includes two opposing plates, a flexible seal extending between the two plates for forming a fluid-tight chamber between the two plates, a first fluid provided in the chamber, and a compressible body provided in the first fluid in the chamber, whereby the compressible body has greater resistance to compression forces than the first fluid.
