Abstract

Abstract A plurality of adapters is disclosed for connecting RF connectors to a printed circuit board. The adapters each include a foot print for receiving the RF connector and a plurality of pins for mounting the connector to a prototyping board. The output signal of the RF connector may be coupled to an controlled impedance transmission line, and each adapter is also configured with a ground plane. The adapters may be configured for use with connectors, such as SMA and BNC connectors. The adapters support easy connection of the RF connector to the prototyping board and minimize the noise associated with the output signal of the RF connector.
