Claim 1
Independent Claim
105 words
A method for forming an array for detecting components in a sample mixture, which comprises a. immobilizing binding compounds specific for detecting said components onto a sheet of material by forming lines with the binding compound on the sheet; b. forming a bundle of compounds in a generally elongated form by collecting the sheet containing the immobilized compounds about a common axis to form an elongated bundle and wrapping the sheet in a spiral; and c. cutting individual arrays into slices from the bundle to generate a spatially uniform arrangement of compound samples and sheet of material generally in a plane intersecting the common axis.
