Ink set for ink jet recording and ink jet recording method using the same

Claim 1

An ink set for inkjet recording, comprising a cyan ink composition, a magenta ink composition, and a yellow ink composition, wherein the cyan ink composition comprises a pigment represented by the following formula (I): ##STR6## wherein x is an integer of 0 to 3; or, a pigment represented by the following formula (II): ##STR7## or, a mixture of the pignemt represented by formula (I) with the pigment represented by formula (II); wherein the yellow ink composition comprises at least one pigment represented by the following formula (III): ##STR8## wherein Y 1 to Y 8 each independently represent a chlorine or hydrogen atom and R represents o-phenylene or 2,6-xylyl, or C.I. Pigment Yellow 74, 138, 150 or 180, and wherein the magenta ink composition comprises a pigment represented by the following formula (IV): ##STR9## wherein X 1 to X 10 each independently represent a hydrogen or chlorine atom or a methyl group, wherein the respective pigments of said cyan, magenta and yellow ink compositions are present in the respective ink compositions in respective pigment concentrations that do not exceed 6% by weight and wherein a weight ratio of the pigment concentration of the cyan ink composition to the pigment concentration of the magenta ink composition to the pigment concentration of the yellow ink composition is 1:1 to 2:1 to 3.
