Total Claims: 34
Claim 1
Independent Claim
52 words
A method for delivering a message unit to a destination network resource within a transport communications layer comprising the steps of: configuring a mapping to the destination network resource based upon a source address of the message unit; and sending the message unit to the destination network resource based upon the mapping.
Claim 2
Independent Claim
52 words
A method for delivering a message unit to a destination network resource within a transport communications layer comprising the steps of: configuring a mapping to the destination network resource based upon a source address of the message unit; and sending the message unit to the destination network resource based upon the mapping.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
18 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the source address comprises a source IP address of the message unit.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
22 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the source address comprises a source IP address and source port number of the message unit.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
22 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the destination network resource has a network resource address to which the message unit is sent.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
17 words
The method of claim 4 wherein the network resource address comprises a not valid Internet IP address.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
19 words
The method of claim 4 wherein the network resource address comprises a network address on a local area network.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
32 words
The method of claim 1 wherein configuring the mapping comprises writing a table that maps the source address of the message unit and a network resource address for the destination network resource.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
23 words
The method of claim 7 wherein the table maps a host IP address and a host port number for the destination network resource.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
26 words
The method of claim 1 further comprising configuring the mapping to send message units to destination network resources based upon source addresses of the message units.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim
17 words
The method of claim 9 wherein the source addresses comprise source IP addresses for the message units.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
21 words
The method of claim 9 wherein the source addresses comprise source IP addresses and source port numbers for the message units.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim
20 words
The method of claim 9 wherein configuring the mapping comprises recording the source IP address of a latest-received connection request.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim
19 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the message unit comprises a single message sent during a connection-oriented transport session.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim
14 words
The method of claim 13 wherein the connection-oriented transport session comprises a TCP session.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim
18 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the message unit comprises a datagram sent during a connectionless transport session.
Claim 17
Dependent Claim
14 words
The method of claim 15 wherein the connectionless transport session comprises a UDP session.
Claim 18
Dependent Claim
81 words
A storage device tangibly storing a control program, the control program, when coupled to a control device, operating the control device to deliver a message unit to a destination network resource within a transport communications layer, the control program being configured to operate the control device to perform the function: configuring a mapping to the destination network resource based upon a source address of the message unit; and sending the message unit to the destination network resource based upon the mapping.
Claim 19
Dependent Claim
81 words
A storage device tangibly storing a control program, the control program, when coupled to a control device, operating the control device to deliver a message unit to a destination network resource within a transport communications layer, the control program being configured to operate the control device to perform the function: configuring a mapping to the destination network resource based upon a source address of the message unit; and sending the message unit to the destination network resource based upon the mapping.
Claim 20
Dependent Claim
19 words
The storage device of claim 17 wherein the source address comprises a source IP address of the message unit.
Claim 21
Dependent Claim
23 words
The storage device of claim 17 wherein the source address comprises the source IP address and source port number of the message unit.
Claim 22
Dependent Claim
23 words
The storage device of claim 17 wherein the destination network resource has a network resource address to which the message unit is sent.
Claim 23
Dependent Claim
18 words
