Abstract
Abstract A double/wide television set incorporated with a double-deck VCR or a CD system is provided with a simplified method of selecting an input/output source. The method uses a matrix screen which is inserted into a basic screen of a master On-Screen Display generator. The user selects the input/output source from the matrix screen. Selection from the matrix is accomplished either by depressing numeral buttons of a selection key pad, such as on a remote control, or through a cursor that is displayed on the matrix screen and then moved about the matrix by the user using buttons of the keypad.
