Abstract

Abstract A power saving facsimile includes a power supply circuit for supplying a plurality of voltage levels. A switch disconnects and connects the plurality of voltage levels from and to corresponding circuits in response to first and second states of a switching control signal, respectively. A driving signal output circuit outputs a driving signal in response to sensing a speech forming signal applied from a central office line. A power controller generates the switching control signal in the first state to interrupt the voltages when the facsimile device has not been used for a predetermined time period, and generates the switching control signal in the second state to provide the voltages in response to the driving signal.
