Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a method for dynamically correctly computing the air charge of a cylinder for an internal combustion engine having a variable charge-cycle control such as with an adjustable inlet and/or outlet camshaft especially in the transient operation. For this purpose, the influence of the variation of the charge-cycle control is considered for the computation of the fresh-air portion of the total charge of the cylinder.
