Claim 1
Independent Claim 67 words
A method for dissolving and preventing reformation of an occluding thrombus precipated by rupture of and atheorosclerotic plaque in a mammal in need thereof comprising, adminstering to said mammal a tissue factor protein antagonist which neutralizes the procoagulant activity of tissue factor in an amount effective to prevent the reformation of the occluding thrombus and a thrombolytic agent in an amount effective to dissolve the occluding thrombus.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 67 words
A method for dissolving and preventing reformation of an occluding thrombus precipated by rupture of and atheorosclerotic plaque in a mammal in need thereof comprising, adminstering to said mammal a tissue factor protein antagonist which neutralizes the procoagulant activity of tissue factor in an amount effective to prevent the reformation of the occluding thrombus and a thrombolytic agent in an amount effective to dissolve the occluding thrombus.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 23 words
The method of claim 1 wherein said throbolytic agent is selected from the group consisting of streptokinase, urokinase, prourokinase and tissue-type plasminogen activator.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 13 words
The method of claim 2 wherein said thromolytic agent is tissue-type plasminogen activator.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 51 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the tissue factor protein antagonist is given at a dose of about in the range of 0.01-25.0 mg per kg of patient weight and the thrombolytic agent is given at a dose of about in the range of 0.01-2.5 mg per kg of patient weight.
