A apparatus for applying material to lead frames to stabilize lead frame leads, comprising: a support base on which to align a lead frame and the applied stabilizing material; a carrier base for supporting the applied stabilizing material, the carrier base is positioned between the support base and the lead frame; a heater block for applying heat to the lead frame and stabilizing material; and a press for creating pressure to the lead frame and stabilizing material between the support base and heater block.
