Abstract

Abstract A fiber reinforced composite material is provided. This comprises at least three layers of: (a) at least two layers of composite materials and (b) at least one layer of viscoelastic material. Each of the layers (a) has undirectionally aligned reinforcing fibers impregnated in a matrix resin. Preferably, at least one pair of the layers (a) has orientation angles of the fibers different from each other. Between such pair of the layers (a), the layer (b) is sandwiched. Such fiber reinforced composite material has a large vibration damping property.
