Abstract
Abstract A color image processing apparatus is provided with a color correction information memory to store input masking coefficients and γ correction tables. The input masking coefficients can be loaded on the memory by external commands. The γ correction tables include a table for correction values for the γ values at pitches of 0.1 within a range of 1.0 to α (>1.0). When a γ correction process is executed, the table to be used is selected by specifying the γ value by an external command. With a color correction circuit, the γ correction process and input masking process are executed using the γ correction tables and input masking coefficients stored in the memory.
