Abstract
Abstract An improved subscriber line carrier (SLC) with enhanced performance for monitoring and remote provisioning. Communication between the new control unit and new channel units (such as universal remote provisionable channel unit) utilizes a back plane read disable bus line (RNDIS). Serial digital signals are modulated within a high level on the read disable bus line for transmission of information between control unit and the new channel units.
