Abstract

Abstract A head actuator has a shaft fixed on a base and a head supporting member, to which a head is attached, pivotably supported around the shaft. Because the shaft does not pivot with the head supporting member, it is not necessary to provide a member for supporting the pivoting shaft from both sides thereof, so that the head actuator can be made thin. Accordingly the disk storage having the head actuator can also be made thin.
