Abstract
Abstract A communication system base site (300) receives a signal (400) representing voice information (402) and data information (404 or 404') from a communication channel. At least the data information is processed to verify the integrity of the communication channel, and the voice information (402) is transmitted when the integrity of the communication channel is verified.
