Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 21
Claim 1
Independent Claim 49 words
A method for providing an antistatic protection layer onto a substrate comprising: a) providing a coating composition of an antistatic effective amount of a colloidal silica, alkali metal orthosilicate, and a coupling agent for said colloidal silica; b) coating said composition onto said substrate; and c) drying said composition.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 49 words
A method for providing an antistatic protection layer onto a substrate comprising: a) providing a coating composition of an antistatic effective amount of a colloidal silica, alkali metal orthosilicate, and a coupling agent for said colloidal silica; b) coating said composition onto said substrate; and c) drying said composition.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 13 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the alkali metal orthosilicate is sodium orthosilicate.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 23 words
The method of claim 2 wherein the coating composition contains a colloidal silica to sodium orthosilicate ratio of 1/1 to 8.5/1 by weight.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 23 words
The method of claim 3 wherein the coating composition contains a colloidal silica to sodium orthosilicate ratio of 1.7/1 to 3.0/1 by weight.
Claim 6
