Abstract
Abstract A pointe shoe is provided with a removable stiffening member 19 to enable inter alia the stiffeners of the shoe to be varied according to the characteristics of each chosen member 19, to replace the member 19 when the flexibility of the shoes becomes too great after normal use, and to extend the useful life of the remainder of the shoe.
