Abstract
Abstract A method of controlling the resilience of a vibration suppressor for motor vehicles with variable valves. The controls (RG) generate a parameter (I) for varying the resilience (D) and distinguish between once-only and periodic roadway excitation (x E ), whereby the controls parameters are the detected difference in speed between the body mass (m a ) and the wheel mass (m R ) along with either the body acceleration (a a ) or the body speed (v a ).
