Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 59 words
A method comprising evaporating Al, Bi, Si or Al-W in an atmosphere of activated oxygen in the presence of a superconductive ceramic oxide surface so that a layer of an oxide of Al, Bi, Si or Al-W is applied to said surface, wherein said oxide layer is effective to passivate said superconductive oxide surface without disrupting the superconductive properties.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 59 words
A method comprising evaporating Al, Bi, Si or Al-W in an atmosphere of activated oxygen in the presence of a superconductive ceramic oxide surface so that a layer of an oxide of Al, Bi, Si or Al-W is applied to said surface, wherein said oxide layer is effective to passivate said superconductive oxide surface without disrupting the superconductive properties.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 21 words
The method of claim 1 wherein said oxide passivation layer is applied to the surface of a 2-1-4 superconductive ceramic oxide.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 23 words
The method of claim 1 wherein said oxide passivation layer is applied to the surface of a 1-2-3 superconductive ceramic oxide comprising Y.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 23 words
The method of claim 1 wherein said oxide passivation layer is applied to the surface of a 2-1-2-2 superconductive ceramic oxide comprising Bi.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 23 words
The method of claim 1 wherein said oxide passivation layer is applied to the surface of a 2-1-2-2 superconductive ceramic oxide comprising Tl.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 36 words
The method of claim 1 wherein said oxide passivation layer is applied to the surface of a superconductive ceramic oxide of the formula RBa 2 Cu 3 O 7-x , wherein R is a lanthenide element.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 16 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the layer is at least about 50 Å in thickness.
