Abstract

Abstract The invention discloses novel fluorine containing silanol polyester waxes. Compounds of the invention by virtue of (a) the polyester group, and (b) the fluorine containing terminal groups are extremely efficient lubricating materials when applied to a variety of surfaces. These materials spread out when applied and provide durable lubrication and hydrophobicity when applied to hair, skin, wood, plastic and textile fibers. The compounds of the present invention are prepared by reacting a silanol compound with a dicarboxylic acid and a fluorine containing alcohol.
