Abstract
Abstract The invention discloses novel silanol waxes. Compounds of the invention by virtue of their silanol fatty ester group are waxy lubricious solids which provide outstanding lubrication and hydrophobicity when applied to hair, skin and textile fibers. The compounds of the present invention are prepared by reacting a silanol compound with a fatty carboxylic and or polycarboxylic acid, ester or anhydride.
