Abstract

Abstract The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of grains of starch, which comprises granulating a mixture obtained by spraying 1 to 20%, and preferably 2 to 6% by weight, of a starch paste obtained from native starch under mild conditions, on to 99 to 80% by weight of grains of native starch, and drying, grinding and sieving the resulting product to give aggregates (grains) having a mean particle size of between 100 and about 500 μm.
