Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 70 words
A pipe and coupling combination in which said coupling is adapted to receive an end of said pipe and having a locking pin means movable radially inwardly of the coupling for engagement with and retention of said pipe, said pipe being characterized by being fabricated from a low carbon steel having a tensile strength in excess of 80,000 p.s.i. achieved by cold reduction without annealing any portion of said pipe.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 70 words
A pipe and coupling combination in which said coupling is adapted to receive an end of said pipe and having a locking pin means movable radially inwardly of the coupling for engagement with and retention of said pipe, said pipe being characterized by being fabricated from a low carbon steel having a tensile strength in excess of 80,000 p.s.i. achieved by cold reduction without annealing any portion of said pipe.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 17 words
The combination of claim 1 wherein the pipe steel has a carbon content of 0.0365% or less.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 21 words
The combination of claim 1 wherein the pipe steel has a yield of from about 80,000 p.s.i. to about 90,000 p.s.i.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 21 words
The combination of claim 2 wherein the pipe steel has a yield of from about 80,000 p.s.i. to about 90,000 p.s.i.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 16 words
The combination of claim 1, wherein the pipe steel has a carbon content of approximately 0.010%.
