Abstract

Abstract Silicon hydrides substituted with oxygen containing radicals such as alkoxy, can be silylformylated with alkynes and carbon monoxide in the presence of a rhodium catalyst to produce silyl alkenyl acetals. The silyl alkenyl acetals are useful as plasticizers for organosilicon copolymers.
