Abstract
Abstract A cylindrical screening basket for sorting and classifying fiber suspensions includes a wall which has an inner wall surface facing the fiber suspension and is provided with screen openings which lead into grooves arranged at the inner wall surface. The grooves extend essentially parallel to each other and transversely to the flow direction of the fiber suspension and are arched to define a downstream flank and an upstream flank, with the downstream flank having a sharper curvature than the upstream flank.
