Abstract

Abstract A coloring agent carrying medium comprises a heat-resistant flexible substrate having a front surface, a plurality of transfer ink films formed on the front surface of the heat-resistant substrate at spacings and containing a pigment transferred to a recording medium upon application of heat, and a plurality of sublimation ink films formed on the front surface of the heat-resistant substrate between the transfer ink films and containing dyestuffs and at least one binder mainly composed of a crosslinked product of polyvinyl alcohol, and the binder allows the dyestuffs to penetrate into the recording medium without leaving from the heat-resistant flexible substrate.
