Date Jul. 27, 1989.The reaction product of H2O2 and metallic titanium, a titanium peroxy radical gel, exhibits oxidizing and anti-inflammatory effects and is used, for instance, as a biocompatible oxidant, an anti-inflammatory agent or in vitro coating of an implant body. The gel-like product is produced by treating metallic titanium with H2O2.
