Abstract

Abstract An improvement is provided for a circuit having a first winding of N 1 turns connected in series with a total inductance of L across a first voltage V 1 and a second steering winding of N 2 turns connected in series with a total inductance L 2 across a second voltage V 2 with the second winding magnetically coupled to the first winding and the first winding having an inductance L c produced by the N 1 turns as seen across the first winding comprising L 1 set substantially greater to zero and L 2 set substantially equal to (L c ) (N 2 /N 1 ) 2 ((V 2 /V 1 ) (N 1 /N 2 )-1)). The setting of L 1 and the setting of L 2 providing an improvement to reduce ac ripple current.
