Abstract

Abstract A radio frequency air float bar for use in floating and drying a continuous planar web of a material in a dryer. Radio frequency energy in an air bar accelerates drying, or evaporation of solvents, or curing of planar web material passing in proximity to the radio frequency air float bar either by radio frequency energy, or in combination with Coanda air flow. The radio frequency energy is capacitively coupled across the entire width of the web to ensure maximum energy transfer and even distribution.
