A detergent bar which has good hardness, mildness and foaming characteristics consisting essentially of 5 to 35 percent alkyl benzene sulfates having 9 to 18 carbon atoms, 5 to 35 percent higher fatty alcohol sulfate, about 2.4 percent zeolite, about 2.9 percent of a 25 percent solution of magnesium sulfate and 0.5 to 5 percent pine oil.
